Mannai Corporation hosted Qatar national sports day celebration for Mannai Group Associates on Tuesday, 11 February 2020 at the Vichy Celestins Spa Resort, Retaj Salwa.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Khalid Mannai, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee addressed the overall significance of integrating a healthy lifestyle into Mannai’s corporate culture. He said, “The physical and mental health benefits of our health & wellness program through sporting activities is one of the fundamental objectives of our Corporate culture known as Mannai Way”
He added, “The tournaments we conduct prior to Qatar national sports day aims to allow everyone in the company to be involved. We believe that the individual games and team activities that we conduct during our tournaments build camaraderie, sportsmanship and fitness while we are all having fun at the same time. By committing to promote health awareness activities, we are supporting a healthier work environment”.
Tournaments were held for cricket, football, bowling, badminton, basketball and volleyball in addition to the other games that were held at Mannai Staff Recreation Centre including table tennis and billiards. This year, Mannai also added triathlon as part of the offsite sports line up. The employees participated to do the individual and team relay race that was held at Qatar Foundation.
As part of the sport day’s program, Mannai also recognized the employees who have reached the milestone of celebrating their 25 years of service with Mannai Group during the year. Service awards were given to the long serving employees from Mannai companies.
Mannai Group appreciated their commitment, loyalty and hard work significantly contributing to the company’s growth over the years.
