Mannai Corporation Q.S.C. and its employees are helping the people in need of urgent humanitarian relief following the devastating floods in Pakistan with a donation of QR75,000 through the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
Mannai employees contributed half of the corporation’s Pakistan relief donation, a sum equaled by management as Mannai once more demonstrated its corporate social responsibility and social mission as a loyal Qatari corporation.
Mannai Corporation Chief HR & Admin Officer Alaa Elebiary presented the QR75,000 cheque to Adel Ali Al Baker, Director of the QRCS G.M. Office, and took the opportunity to praise corporation employees whose generosity is sending aid to victims of the Pakistan flooding.
“Mannai Corporation is keen to participate in efforts aimed at helping people rebuild communities, which reinforce the positive image of Qatar and its people’s generosity and maximize the concept of cooperation between nations in serving humanitarian causes,” said Alaa Elebiary.
Mannai Corporation’s donation to the QRCS provides emergency shelters, non-food items such as hygiene kits, Jerry cans, hurricane lamps and tarpaulin sheets, food items, water, sanitation and medical equipment for 5,000 struggling families.
The QR75,000 Pakistan flood disaster donation is the latest philanthropic gesture from Mannai Corporation to the QRCS. In 2009 employees raised QR47,450 to help the many thousands of people who suffered during the Philippines floods, while earlier that year the corporation raised QR116,780 to buy food and medical supplies for the distressed residents of Gaza.
