Mannai Corporation hosted Qatar National Sport Day celebration with its employees and subsidiary companies at the Marriott Hotel, Beach area on 10th February 2015.
On the occasion, Mr Khalid Mannai, Executive Director of Mannai Corporation said, “It is my pleasure to welcome you all today as we celebrate national sport day with the whole nation. This gathering is dedicated not only for fun as we engage in the activities set for the day but this is an opportunity for all of us to fellowship with our co-workers outside our work environment.”
He also added, ”As we already started, Mannai will remain to promote an active healthy lifestyle through our inter-department tournaments and other external engagements. We continue to exercise the values of ‘The Mannai Way’. Mannai is a team and together we make a difference”.
The day also marked the recognition for 15 of Mannai employees that dedicatedly served the company for 25 years. A service award was given to the awardees in honour of their contribution and loyal service to Mannai.
The event was attended by over 2,000 employees with various team activities set up for all including human foosball, bubble football, obstacle race, tug of war among others.
Similarly in the past, Mannai also conducted internal activities for off-site tournaments that were held prior to the National Sports Day celebration. The team players were represented by employees from different department and divisions of Mannai Group. The off-site games includedthe match for football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, billiard and chess. Most of these games were held at Mannai staff accommodation, Recreation area in St. 34, Salwa Industrial Area.
