Team Leader- Procurement
Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing and optimizing our procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
- Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the industry’s unique needs and challenges
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with industry-specific suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, with a focus on maintaining consistent operations despite disruptions
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet industry-specific quality and safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and optimize procurement costs without compromising quality or safety standards
- Collaborate with technical experts to understand and meet the specialized requirements of equipment and materials used in the industry
- Oversee inventory, particularly for critical spare parts, ensuring efficient management to support operations and maintenance
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries, especially to remote sites
- Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements, and ensure full compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CSCP,CPM) is an added advantage
- At least 6 years of related experience
Skills Desired:
- Relevant experience in procurement, including supplier management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to work well in a team and lead cross-functional collaborations
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices
