Job Description:

The role is to conduct qualitative and quantitative experiments on chemical substances to ensure quality control or perform method validation prior to use in the lab. Conduct chemical, biological, and microbiological tests. Effectively collect samples and specimens.

1. Performing analytical testing for food, food products, and beverages.
2. Analysis of water and wastewater in accordance with APHA and USEPA standards.
3. Monitoring food sample nutrient requirements such as: Fat and Non-Fat Solids, Carbohydrate, Sugar, Proteins, Cholesterol, Vitamins, Fiber, energy, Calories, and Heavy metals using ICP MS…
4. Testing and Monitoring the Indoor Air Quality.
5. Verifying the quality of the food packaging material by doing overall and specific migration test as per
   ISO 1186 and ISO 13130
6. Preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests and advising and coordinating test procedures.
7. Sampling and sample preparation as per relevant regional and International standards.
8. Ensures laboratory equipment and apparatus are calibrated and properly maintained.
9. Update results in control charts.
10. Runs quality control requirement of each test method being performed whenever applicable.
11. Perform testing requirements to support method development, modification, validation, or verification with or without supervision by senior staff or supervisor.
12. Maintains good housekeeping in his workplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
2. Highly analytical in performing analysis of samples, Good knowledge about chemical and physical tests conducted in the laboratory, Ability to apply available good laboratory practices, including laboratory safety, Dedicated to furthering scientific knowledge and improving processes and products.
3. Knowledgeable in general QC techniques and ISO 17025 requirements.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Food testing laboratory or in an industrial laboratory.
